Membership is available to individuals who are actively employed in military comptrollership, as active duty or civilian personnel. Associate membership is available for persons who do not meet the qualifications but who
demonstrate an interest in the field. Employees of private sector companies who are interested in ASMC membership may join under the corporate membership program. (see below)

Membership applications are also available by calling ASMC National Headquarters at (800)462-5637 or by contacting your local chapter. The types of memberships are:

Active membership is available to persons who are or have been employed as professionals in the military comptrollership field. Dues for annual active membership is $26. Active membership for three years is discounted to $75.

ASMC, unlike many organizations, has a special road to life membership. You can only become a life member after 20 consecutive years of membership. This is done to place special emphasis on sustained support of the society. ASMC may at some juncture offer multiple year memberships; however, the way to life membership will remain indicative of continued support of ASMC. Approximately 200 members will become life members this year. To these members we say congratulations and thanks for your support.

Persons who, though not qualified for active or life membership, demonstrate an interest in the military comptrollership field may become associate members. The dues structure is the same as active membership.

Corporate membership is available for businesses interested in the military comptrollership field. Dues are annual and are $250, which includes one designee. Additional designees are $26 each. Corporate members receive all benefits of an active membership, as well as discounts for advertisements in the national journal and exhibit space at the national conference. Honorary membership is awarded to persons making significant contributions to the military comptrollership field who is not eligible for membership or would not be otherwise expected to join the society through one of the other classes. Honorary membership is only awarded by the National Executive Committee. To submit an individual for honorary membership, complete an individual membership application (no fee required) with a cover letter stating the reqest for honorary membership and the reason behind the request.
